Welcome. This website seeks to be as good as you, the membership, make it. Our stakeholders include individual members, clubs, flight schools, suppliers, service providers, governance bodies etc. and we all stand to benefit from this website by initiating conversations on our past, present and future. MISASA is staffed by volunteers and if you feel that you can play a role please let us know. Your contribution added to that of others will ensure that we add great benefit to you the membership. We have populated your new website with some old and some new stories. The old must let go to the new with the pace of this change depending only upon the pace of your contributions.

Africa Cup 2008

Africa Cup 2008 - 24th to 28th September, Numbi Hotel, Hazyview
This is the 21st anniversary of the wonderful event. As usual MISASA will be co-ordinating the event and this year promises to be as good if not better than previous years. Rob McFie needs all those requiring shirts to pay their money into the MISASA Account. So I will get back to you on prices.
Afican Pilot is sponsoring us to the value of R 5,000 re goods and cash for which we are most thankful as this will add immensely to the fun and festivities. In the interim please send Rob an indication of your shirt sizes so he can get the shirt quanties right which affects price negotiations.

Update on RAASA and Part 62

Just to keep you all up to date with what is happening regarding RAASA and Part 62.
Meeting dates for briefings, venues and times are set out below. The latest version of Part 62 amendments and Schedule 17 should be referred to. (These are posted on the MISASA website at this link and will hopefully be promulgated shortly.) Be sure to work your way down to schedule 17 at the end of the draft amendment. These must be read in conjunction with the version available on the CAA website:

The CATS for Part 62 are presently being worked on and will hopefully be available on date of implementation.
